TV chef Rick Stein to open restaurant in Sandbanks – in place of Café Shore.
After Café Shore entered liquidation in early February, TV chef Rick Stein has snapped up the property, with plans for the self-titled ‘Rick Stein’ restaurant to be built in its place, offering classic seafood dishes.
This provides a new lease of life to the area of Sandbanks, Bournemouth and other nearby locations, creating a buzz due to the famous name’s attachment to a brand new seaside restaurant, of which Stein’s previous business ventures have been of great success. Opening in late Autumn, the news of the restaurant has created quite a stir, with Bruce Grant-Braham, Chair of Poole Tourism saying, “I am absolutely delighted…” and that “it will act as a major draw for visitors to the town. Poole already boasts a strong eating-out scene and the investment in this new restaurant will endorse that still further”.
Rick Stein’s addition to Sandbanks is once more, further proof of the highly developing surrounding areas as restaurants, hotels and the like, seem to be opening at an exponential rate across Bournemouth. Clearly this will attract people from all over the country to commute, and make use of the continually growing opportunities that Bournemouth has to offer!
